The first Grand Hyatt hotel will open in Spain

Hyatt Hotels Corporation announced the signing of a franchise agreement between its Grand Hyatt brand and La Manga Club, S.L. (a subsidiary of Grupo Inversor Hesperia). The launch of the Grand Hyatt brand in Spain is scheduled for end of 2023. The opening is part of Hyatt’s plans to grow its luxury brands in key destinations in Europe.

The Grand Hyatt La Manga Club and Resort is located in the enclave of La Manga Club, Murcia. It is surrounded by 560 hectares of greenery and offers easy access to natural sites such as the Calblanque Natural Park and the Mar Menor lagoon.

The establishment will undergo major renovation work before its reopening soon. Its 192 rooms, including a Royal Suite of 156 m² and six other suites, will be redesigned. The F&B offer will be reworked with, in particular, the addition of a sushi bar and a top-of-the-range gourmet restaurant.

Its amenities include a spa area with two new adults-only pools, as well as 1,288 m² of event space that can accommodate meetings, conferences and weddings. The hotel’s sports facilities include three championship-level 18-hole golf courses, outdoor tennis courts and a soccer centre.

Once opened, the hotel will be the first Grand Hyatt property in Spain. Grand Hyatt Lanzarote will strengthen the brand’s presence in the country in 2025. Grand Hyatt La Manga Club and Resort will join the brand’s European portfolio alongside existing hotels in cities such as Berlin, Athens and Istanbul.
